What Collar is right for me?

OWNLY’S Quick Collar Tips:

NARROW FACE:
DO: Wide collar – can counter-balance the narrow/slim face. A normal collar height is recommended.
DON’T: Narrow collar – this will make a narrow face look slimmer.

ROUND FACE:
DO: Narrow collar – can provide a counter-balance effect.
DON’T: Wide collar – can make a round face look larger.

LONG NECK:
DO: Wide and Medium Collars with a higher collar height (front/back).
DON’T: A Narrow Collar can appear to elongate a long neck. A short collar height is also not recommended.

SHORT NECK:
DO: Narrow Collar will elongate a short neck. A shorter collar height (front/back) is recommended.
DON’T:Wide Spread collar can make a head look larger.

Collar Height

We are getting lots of questions regarding collar height. Basically, there is no set formula for collar height. If you are looking for a formula, there are some standards (1.5 inches back/1.75 inches side) which can be used for off-rack. However, most collar heights are based around your build and neck measurements.

A few quick tips:

*Low Collars Heights: Better for short neck men (usually shorter men)

*High Collar Heights: Better for long neck men (usually taller men)

Understand your need
Growing-up together in Waco, Texas, Shea Stanley and Chelsa Ressetar, co-founders of OWNLY, personally know the difficulty men face in maintaining professional wardrobes.
